The Vibhuti Pada sutra 31

Mastery over hunger and thirst

Domínio sobre fome e sede

kantha-kupe ksut-pipãsã-nivrttih||31||

{By practicing samyama} on the hollow of the throat, there is freedom from hunger and thirst.||31||

{Praticando samyama} no oco da garganta, há liberdade da fome e da sede. || 31 ||

In this sutra , hunger means desire for Self-knowledge and thirst means desire for pure love.

Neste sutra, a fome significa desejo de autoconhecimento e sede significa desejo de amor puro.
